Fermented Black Beans Dip

This is one healthy, yummy and easy dip you can whip up for the happiness of the gut 🙂

What you need:

  • 2 Cups Black Beans
  • 2 Tbsp Whey (from Kefir or cheese making or any ferment starter)
  • 1/2 Cup Smoked Paprika
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Oregano
  • 1 Brown Onion chopped
  • 2 Tbsp Garlic (or more to your preference)

Alternatively, you can also try another combo of Chickpea (2 cups) & Zucchini (1 to 2)

How:

  1. Soak the beans with water over night; or 8-12 hours
  2. Cook the beans for approx. 2 hours or till soften; drain the water
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients and use a blender or food processsor and well mix everything till smooth. If it is too dry, add a little water at a time to get the right consistency
  4. Pack the mixture nicely into a jar and let it ferment in room temperature for 1 to 2 days. * leave some space in the jar for the fermentation process
  5. Store in the fridge for up to 1 week.
